I love an event, a special invitation, an invite to something I don’t normally go to, none more so than an invite to the gigis otherwise known as the races. My all time favourite has got to be the month long August racing fest at La Tougues racecourse Deauville, Northern France.

According to those esteemed etiquette folks at Debretts (ignore at your peril) – The emphasis is on smart clothes and flamboyant hats and being the attention seeking gal I am I would wear any of these heady numbers (especially the huge orange Marc Jacobs number on the right, Vivienne Westwood to the left and the jolly little spotty number from ASOS in the centre)!

I know it’s a bit far fetched given the summer we are going through to be on about summer breezes, jasmine blowin through our minds when there are gale force winds, floods and we are all wearing coats, cardigans and opague  tights. However, should the wind/breezes blow in any warm weather fronts then I would wear this pretty Anna Sui dress with our Turtle pendant with Shiva shell.
