The Stone
Sapphire was used by the Etruscans over 2,500 years ago and was also prized in ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt. Revered as a stone of royalty, sapphire was believed to keep kings safe from harm or envy.

Care
Remove before bathing, swimming or sleeping. Keep away from perfume, oils and household cleaners — plated brass and natural stone both prefer to be left dry. Polish gently with a soft dry cloth, and rest the piece in its pouch when you are not wearing it.
How to Wear It
At 42cm it sits just below the collarbone, where the faceted stone catches light. Wear it against white, cream or navy.
